Gijón, Spain – From April 25 to April 26, the Impulsa Building in Gijón was filled with enthusiasm and commitment during the launch of the innovative European project EUAPPTIVE. Representatives from municipalities, institutions, and organizations dedicated to wellness and technology came together to learn firsthand about this initiative aimed at promoting active and healthy living among older adults through the use of technology.
EUAPPTIVE aims not only to improve the health of our seniors but also to promote their digital literacy. The project presentation highlighted the creation of an application designed to monitor physical exercise, as well as the organization of a challenge aimed at older adults from municipalities across Europe. This challenge will culminate in a gala event in Brussels, where the winner will be awarded for their commitment and dedication.

The international consortium behind EUAPPTIVE, comprised of members from ACES EUROPE (Belgium), the Municipality of Vila Nova de Poiares (Portugal), Southern Denmark University (Denmark), the European Network for Innovation & Knowledge (Netherlands), CuiCui Studios (Spain), and the project coordinator Sport Innovation Hub (Spain), enthusiastically presented their participation and commitment to the project.
The event was attended by mayors, sports councilors, social services representatives, international/institutional relations officials, and technicians from various fields, who actively participated in an open debate on the impact and opportunities that EUAPPTIVE offers for their communities.
